Most ping tools claim 65 or more search engines. On 2026-08-25 we sent a real ping to every endpoint on those lists. 4 responded properly. Google retired blog ping in 2017 and sitemap ping in 2023, and Yandex moved to IndexNow — so a tool reporting success against any of them is reporting something that did not happen.
A ping that fails is worth knowing about. That is the whole product.
